Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to KidoPal (the "Application" or "App"), developed and operated by MojtApps ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using KidoPal on iOS, iPadOS, or related platforms, you ("you", "User", or "Parent/Guardian") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (Terms of Use). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Application.

2. Description of the Service

KidoPal is a parental habit-building and screen management application. The Application enables parents and legal guardians to:

• Create and enforce daily automated routines for their children (e.g. Bed Time, Homework, Outdoor Play).
• Remotely pause or lock connected child devices on demand.
• Set customized app restriction rules via Apple's native Screen Time API.
• Synchronize family profiles and settings privately using Apple CloudKit.

3. Privacy & Zero-Server Architecture

We believe family privacy is paramount. KidoPal is built on a direct, zero-server architecture:

• No External Server Databases: We do not operate proprietary user tracking servers, databases, or analytics silos.
• Private Apple iCloud Sync: Your family configuration, routines, and device sync run directly and securely inside your private Apple iCloud container.
• On-Device Enforcement: Screen time restrictions are executed on-device using Apple's official Screen Time framework.

4. In-App Subscriptions & Billing

KidoPal may offer premium subscription plans and feature unlocks through the Apple App Store.

Payment & Renewal

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription price.

Managing Subscriptions & Cancellations

• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to your Apple ID Account Settings > Subscriptions on your iOS device.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when purchasing a subscription, where applicable.
• All in-app purchases and subscriptions are subject to Apple's standard Terms of Use (EULA).

5. User Eligibility & Parental Authority

You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) and possess the legal authority to supervise and manage device usage for the minors registered within your KidoPal family group.

6. Acceptable Use & Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Use the Application for any unlawful, harassing, or unauthorized surveillance purposes on individuals who are not under your legal guardianship.
• Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or derive the source code of the Application.
• Circumvent or attempt to bypass security measures, encryption, or restrictions enforced by Apple Screen Time or CloudKit.
• Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the Application.

7. Apple App Store Terms & EULA

You acknowledge and agree that these Terms are concluded solely between you and MojtApps, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). MojtApps, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Application and its content.

Your use of the Application and any associated in-app purchases is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement:

• Standard EULA: In addition to these Terms, the Application is licensed under the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (Apple EULA).
• Scope of License: The license granted to you for the Application is limited to a non-transferable license to use the Application on any Apple-branded products that you own or control as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Maintenance & Support: MojtApps is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support services. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the Application.
• Third-Party Beneficiary: Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to KidoPal, including but not limited to the software code, brand mascot artwork ("Pal"), icons, logos, graphic user interface, and associated documentation, remain the exclusive property of MojtApps and its licensors.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MOJTAPPS, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR PERSONAL INJURY, OR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, DEVICE DOWNTIME, OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APPLICATION.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
